Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Discovery Tour - Viking Age is out now!

Launch day is finally here for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Discovery Tour - Viking Age after the add-on content was teased for weeks on ACV socials. The Discovery Tour will play a bit differently than normal ACV free-mode or storyline, so you'll want to follow along for all the event info.

This is the second of three Discovery Tour's that Ubisoft will run via their latest title. The tours offer a great change of pace from normal ACV gameplay as well as a deep dive into the history surrounding the origins of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

In more good news, players won't need to download any separate content to play the Discovery Tour. Here's everything you need to know about the latest add-on to ACV.

Discovery Tour: Viking Age - ACV

The Discovery Tour: Viking Age is described by developers as a nonviolent, educational experience that players can freely explore to learn more about the places, people, and cultures of ninth-century England and Norway.

As mentioned, the Discovery Tour: Viking Age does not require any separate downloads or purchases for those who already own Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. If the latest ACV title update 1.3.2 is installed, the Discovery Tour: Viking Age will be available on the home menu beginning Tuesday, 19th October.

For those who don't own ACV, the Discovery Tour is available for purchase as a standalone title on PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. It will also be available for standalone purchase on Stadia and Amazon Luna in early 2022.

Gamers will play along through the perspective of multiple characters following a scripted narrative by completing quests and objectives. Discovery Tour: Viking Age players will also have the opportunity to interact with multiple Discovery Sites focussing on the culture and traditions of Vikings and Anglo-Saxons in the Viking Age.

The Discovery Tour looks to be filled with stunning visuals and captivating characters creating a subversive alternate Assassin's Creed experience. It will be interesting to see if Ubisoft adds anything else to the tour via additional patch updates.
