Is Modern Warfare 3 Beta On Mac?

With the Modern Warfare 3 beta underway, players are looking ahead to its second weekend where those across Xbox, PlayStation and PC will be able to jump in and play. So far, the beta has been available exclusively for those on PlayStation during its first weekend. With the second weekend set to kick off on Oct. 12, there's plenty more gameplay and rewards on the way. 

With this being the first time players have gotten a hands-on experience with Modern Warfare 3, it's no surprise that everyone is looking to take part. But will those on Mac be able to enjoy the beta alongside Xbox, PlayStation and PC players?

Can I Play The MW3 Beta On Mac?

Sadly, no. The Modern Warfare 3 beta is not available to play on Mac. In fact, MW3 will not be available to play on Mac at all, even at launch. This shouldn't really come as a surprise, given that Macs aren't known for their gaming capabilities. 

Modern Warfare 3 is a demanding game, and even the beta requires a fair bit of power to run smoothly. Not to mention that the beta is focused around Multiplayer, so if your system can't keep up with the rest of the lobby, you're going to have a bad time.

How To Run MW3 Beta On Mac

There are ways to run Call of Duty on Mac, however. It requires using Boot Camp to launch your Mac in Windows. This also means you'll need to download and install Windows drivers in order for it to work. There are a bunch of tutorials available online to help you switch your MacOC over to Windows, but we wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Doing so puts a lot of strain on your system, and not all games will work alongside Boot Camp. There's no guarantee that MW3 or the beta will work using this method.
