The Stain of Sin is a Lesser Evil Soul Shard straight from the bowels of Azmodan. As with the other three Lesser Evil Soul Shards, you can add it to an open gem slot on your weapon only.

You can farm the Stain of Sin in Diablo 3 Season 30 by killing any of the Act III bosses. You have a chance of getting both the Fragment of Destruction on each Act III boss kill as well. In case you need a refresher, the Act III bosses are:

  • Ghom
  • Siegebreaker Assault Beast
  • Cydaea
  • Azmodan

You can also complete Greater Rifts for a chance at a Soul Shard drop, with the changes increasing significantly after Tier 75. While the Soul Shards can drop out in the world during any activity, the chances are quite low, especially if you want to target-farm a specific one, such as the Stain of Sin.

Please note: You do not need to be level 70 to get a Soul Shard drop. However, with higher Torment difficulty or higher Greater Rifts, your chances do increase significantly.

Diablo 3 Stain of Sin Soul Shard Stats & Powers

You can find the precise powers and stats for the Stain of Sin Lesser Evil Soul Shard in Diablo 3 Season 30 below.

  • Base Power: You deal 25% less damage. When you kill 50 enemies, you spawn a pool of blood that increases the damage done to elite enemies by 150% and lasts 15 seconds.
  • Additional Powers:
    • The pool of blood now negates Elite affixes within its area.
    • You gain an additional Rift Progress Orb when you kill and elite pack.
    • The pool of blood now collects Rift Progress Orbs.

The Stain of Sin is yet another powerful item to push higher-level Greater Rifts and something many Diablo 3 players might want to add to their weapon.
