DBZ Cell & Frieza Coming To Fortnite: Release Date, Skins, Cosmetics Revealed

Epic Games has been ramping up its anime collaborations in Fortnite these past seasons, everywhere from Attack on Titan, to Jujutsu Kaisen, to Naruto. But one of the most successful collaborations came in the form of Dragon Ball Z (and Super).

Originally, Fortnite players saw the likes of Goku, Vegeta, Bulma and Lord Beerus enter the rotation back in Chapter 3. Then, in Chapter 4, Gohan, Piccolo, and Goku Black joined the collaboration. But in Chapter 5, it seems even more Dragon Ball characters get their own Fortnite skins in the (Final) form of Lord Frieza and Cell.

Dragon Ball Z Cell & Frieza Fortnite Release Date

According to popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX, the next Dragon Ball collaboration is set to arrive in the Item Shop on December 26, 2024. This will include Outfits for both Cell and Frieza, along with some additional cosmetics. 

The leaker warned that this date could be subject to change, but that it's "what Epic plans now."

While the skins this time around are pretty obvious in that their Cell and Frieza, the Alt Styles for each one will be what makes these skins worth grabbing: 

Cell Outfit

• First Form Cell (Default)
• Perfect Form Cell (Alt Style)

Frieza Outfit

• First Form Frieza (Default)
• Final Form Frieza (Alt Style)
• Golden Frieza (Alt Style)

As for the additional cosmetics that will also be available, the HYPEX has given us some idea of what's on the way:

• Frieza's Spaceship Glider
• Frieza's Spaceship Staff Pickaxe
• Cell's Egg Shell Pickaxe

It's likely there will be more cosmetics items up for grabs themed around this new collab. Past Dragon Ball collaborations included Emotes and Back Blings. It's likely, then, that there's still more to be revealed.

Will Cell & Frieza Be Available In LEGO Fortnite?

A huge amount of Fortnite Outfits have also been given LEGO styles to be used within LEGO Fortnite but, for the most part, these have been limited to original Fortnite skins.

No past anime collaboration (Dragon Ball included) have had their skins receive LEGO variations, so we imagine that this time will be no different. The Cell and Frieza skins will likely not be available for use in LEGO Fortnite — but we'll be sure to update this page if things change.
