An insider believes that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be announced in 2023 which will push back the release date to 2025.

Insider Believes That GTA 6 Will Likely Not Come Out Until 2025

It has been a long time since the initial release of Grand Theft Auto 5. Although players are enjoying GTA Online right now, everyone is excited about the fact that Rockstar is currently working on Grand Theft Auto 6. With the leaks that happened for GTA 6, fans are now waiting for official news about this upcoming new game.

Although that is the case, Rockstar has yet to provide any solid information about GTA 6 other than the fact that they are working on the game. Although there are many supposed teasers for GTA 6, nothing solid has been announced yet. According to an insider, we should not expect an announcement for GTA 6 this year.

Insider Claims That Rockstar Will Not Announce GTA 6 In 2023

Insider Chris Marxx has recently become a pretty reliable person for game industry information. They previously leaked the announcements for Dragon's Dogma 2, Payday 3, and Fable during the Summer Games Fest. So their information is actually pretty good. Chris believes that there will be no announcement for GTA 6 this year.

He claims that Rockstar wants a one-year gap between the announcement of GTA 6 and the actual release of the game. Since Summer Games Fest is over, it seems unlikely that Rockstar will announce GTA 6 this year. So due to that fact, Chris believes that GTA 6 will likely not come out until 2025.

Right now, it is uncertain if GTA 6 will be announced in 2023, but it is not impossible. Although we do believe that GTA 6 will very likely not come out until 2024 at the earliest, there is still the possibility that GTA 6 could be announced this year. After all, we are currently only halfway through 2023, and there is still time for the game to be announced this year.

The Game Awards is a show that often announces very large games to get people excited for what is coming in 2024. Plus, Rockstar Games have always made their own announcements on their terms. Even though it is unlikely that an announcement for GTA 6 will come this year, it is still a possibility. Most likely, though, the insider is correct, and we will be waiting a few years for GTA 6.
