It has been a very long time since Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released. In fact, it was two whole generations ago, with GTA 5 first launching on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Now, players are hoping that Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming sooner rather than later. Of course, we know that GTA 6 is currently in development with Rockstar, but thanks to the various leaks that have arrived in recent days, it's possible that a release date announcement for the game could be just around the corner.

What is the 'GTA 6 Audio Leak'

As we have stated before, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been leaked but not even officially announced just yet. We have no information about the game other than what has been leaked earlier this year. However, a recent voice recording and it appears to show some executives from Take 2 Interactive were caught discussing GTA 6. In that recording, they said that an announcement should be happening on October 23rd. This is not when the game will be released but rather, an announcement for the game. The validity of the audio leak has yet to be verified, but it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility.

Is A GTA 6 Announcement Really Happening?

There have been a lot of leaks lately on when GTA 6 is supposed to be announced. But will it be different this time around? Possibly. The tweet that showed the audio recording of the executives talking was taken down via copyright strike. This could indicate that there is some legitimacy to what is being claimed by the leakers.

However, this could also be faked by AI. AI has had some major advancements lately and could trick some people about what is real and what is not. At the moment, nothing is confirmed. We will have to wait until this countdown is completed to see if GTA 6 will be announced.
