Honkai Star Rail Drops To Third Highest Gacha Revenue Behind Genshin Impact & Nikke

Honkai Star Rail sees a drop in earnings. Find out why!
Honkai Star Rail Drops To Third Highest Gacha Revenue Behind Genshin Impact & Nikke

Hot off a double victory in both the Google Play and Apple Game of the Year Award categories, Honkai Star Rail has surprisingly dropped to the third most profitable gacha revenue rankings as of the end of November 2023. Reportedly, Honkai Star Rail suffered an approximate 50% income dip during this time. While it still continues to rake in the cash and is unlikely to go anywhere, it is curious to see such a discrepancy between the coveted awards this game has won compared to the lack of purchases being made in-game.

Some players have chalked this up to the current banners in Honkai Star Rail, and its competitor Nikke's anniversary event. The current event character, Huohuo, is a great healer but is paired with a terrible lineup of four-star characters making players reluctant to pull.

And, as mentioned, Nikke's anniversary event was enough to push it to the number two spot in overall earnings. However, it should be noted that the stats referenced here only apply to the mobile game, meaning the PC client and PlayStation income is not included.

Hopefully, Honkai Star Rail can see a resurgence in player spending to continue making the game we know and love as good as it can be.
