Tekken 7 Season 4: New characters, release date and what to expect

Released in 2015, Tekken 7 has become arguably the greatest entry in the franchise yet - boasting a huge roster of characters and deep combat systems.

Bandai Namco isn’t quite done supporting the title either, having recently announced Season 4 DLC, bringing new characters, stages and more to the fighter.

So what do we know about the game’s fourth season? Here’s a rundown of everything from the roadmap, new additions, and release date.

What new characters and stages are coming in Tekken 7 Season 4?

The only confirmed new character so far is Kunimitsu, who hasn’t been a playable fighter in the mainline franchise since Tekken 2 (she also appeared in Tekken Tag Tournament).

Stage wise, Season 4 will introduce Vermilion Gates - featuring the backdrop of Mount Fuji and the famous red pagoda in Kyoto, Japan.

There’s also set to be another stage and new character announced for Season 4, which will be rolled out in “early Spring 2021”.

What else will be featured in Season 4?

The new DLC will also feature a wealth of other updates, adding significant enhancements to online play, the user interface, a new top level rank ‘Tekken God Omega’, and new moves for the entire roster.

There’ll also be a new feature called Tekken Prowess, described as a “new way for players to see their Tekken skills through point scoring”.

What is the release date for Tekken 7 Season 4?

The release date for the first portion of Tekken Season 4 was confirmed for Tuesday 10th November, which brings in Kunimitsu and the Vermilion Gates stage.

There’s also Pac-Man customisation options to tie in with the game’s 40th anniversary, which also features a limited time Pac-Man arena stage.

Kunimitsu will also have various costume sets, ranging from her regular set, Urban Ninja set and a Tenko set.

The list of addtional moves and balance tweaks will arrive a day earlier on 9th November.
