Gone Wild Update Brings Soccer Stadium and Sprites to Fortnite June 25

Fortnite is about to get a serious injection of new content, with five new Sprites and a soccer stadium confirmed for the game’s next update – all arriving as part of the Gone Wild event on June 25, with the event itself running until July 9.

All New Content in Fortnite’s Gone Wild Update

The drop expands Chapter 7 Season 3’s existing Sprite system, which launched with 10 collectible Sprites on June 6. Adding five more in a single update is a meaningful expansion, not just a cosmetic touch-up. Leaker HYPEX was first to confirm part of the lineup ahead of any official announcement.

New Sprites

  • Football Sprite – football-themed addition tying into the soccer content drop
  • Fishstick Sprite – fan-favourite character gets the Sprite treatment
  • Boss Sprite – confirmed alongside the Football and Fishstick variants
  • Two further Sprites – identities not yet confirmed ahead of the June 25 rollout

Soccer Stadium

  • A dedicated soccer stadium is being added to the map as part of the Gone Wild event
  • Epic has form here: back in 2018, patch 4.4 dropped a stadium in the northwestern quadrant near Junk Junction, complete with accessible stands and smaller pitches scattered across the island
  • The new stadium follows that same playbook, tying football-themed map changes to a real-world sports moment

It’s worth noting that Epic has a long track record of pairing football content with major moments in the sport’s calendar – the 2018 World Cup update and the 2021 Kickoff Set, which introduced skins for 23 clubs and the Pelé’s Air Punch emote, both showed how seriously the studio takes these tie-ins.

That’s everything confirmed for Fortnite’s Gone Wild update so far. The two remaining Sprites are still to be revealed, so keep an eye on Epic’s official channels heading into June 25 – there’s clearly more to come before the event wraps on July 9.
