Alexander “br0” Bro is leaving NRG to join Eternal Fire, according to HLTV sources, completing a significant double signing that sees the Danish rifler link up with Ukrainian recruit Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol in a rebuilt EF lineup.

br0 spent roughly 18 months with NRG after joining in January 2025 as a replacement for Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, posting a 1.09 HLTV rating across his LAN appearances – solid numbers that made his benchmarking after IEM Cologne all the more frustrating for those watching. NRG exited at Stage 1 of all three Majors he attended, including Austin, Budapest, and Cologne, where a 1–2 loss to BIG in the final Swiss round ended their run.

Eternal Fire’s Rebuild Takes Shape

br0 and Kvem are set to replace Serhii “DemQQ” Demchenko and Rigon “rigoN” Gashi, who departed as part of EF’s ongoing restructuring. The organisation relocated its headquarters from Turkey to Hungary in October 2024, a move designed to ease the sponsorship constraints that had plagued the team – constraints serious enough that the original XANTARES–woxic roster was sold to Team Aurora in April 2025 after Turkey’s restrictive private sponsorship environment made the project unsustainable.

Community reaction has been largely positive, with plenty of observers noting that a 1.09 LAN rating was too good to be sitting on a bench. The broader CS2 transfer market remains busy heading into the off-season, as teams across the board look to retool – SAW’s own rebuild being another example of how active this window has been.

What’s Next

Eternal Fire’s refreshed roster is expected to debut in upcoming regional qualifiers and international LANs, with results over the next few months determining whether the rebuild can restore EF to top-20 status. NRG, meanwhile, still have an open slot to fill following br0’s departure.
