While Version 1.1.1 is not a major content expansion, it eliminates crash triggers, cleans up interface errors, and addresses weapon interaction bugs across campaign missions.

Tank Limiter & Interface Fixes

  • Tank Limiter Input: Releasing the Tank Limiter cap valve now requires a simple A Button press instead of a long button-hold, matching standard menu behavior across tank upgrade areas including weapon damage, gadget damage, part slots, and tank health.
  • Hideout Ship & Dungeon UI: Resolved an issue where HUD elements, such as the Showstopper Gauge, failed to hide correctly after players stopped pressing buttons.
  • Touchscreen Crash Fix: Fixed a crash triggered by repeatedly tapping the Nintendo Switch 2 touchscreen during the fog-swirl loading screen.

Combat & Weapon Adjustments

  • Splatchet Damage Interaction: Corrected an interaction bug between Emergency Damage Up and the explosion damage added by the Splatchet’s Explosive Steps.
  • Splatchet Movement Freeze: Fixed a movement bug that left players unable to move when activating the Splatchet immediately after executing a Squid Roll from a wall.

Location & Minigame Fixes

  • Soyu Cliffs: Fixed an issue where a Fish Stick could move into terrain and become impossible to defeat.
  • HOPPING Minigame: Resolved a bug in the Arcade Cabinet activity where the Exploration Bot could stop attacking Salmonids.

The focus on single-player progression highlights why Nintendo treats Raiders as a distinct spin-off rather than Splatoon 4. According to an Ask the Developer interview, producer Seita Inoue confirmed the team plans to continue developing competitive gameplay for the mainline series. For gamers looking at Nintendo’s broader ecosystem alongside Nintendo Switch Online offerings, this update keeps the campaign running reliably.
