Fortnite’s v42.00 update goes live on August 20, 2026, launching Chapter 7 Season 4, Override. Downtime starts at 2 AM ET / 6 AM UTC, with maintenance expected to last around five hours and servers estimated to return around 7 AM ET / 11 AM UTC, according to Times of India.

All modes, including Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, Fortnite OG, and LEGO Fortnite, will be offline during the update. Override brings gaming-culture collaborations, a reshuffled map, and an eight-skin Battle Pass.
