Among Us developer InnerSloth has finally revealed the official release date for the long-awaited new Among Us map titled The Airship.
The new map, inspired by the Henry Stickmin franchise, has been announced several months ago, and the team has been diligently working on it since.
After months of meticulous work in silence, the team is now finally ready to announce the release date and other interesting details about the map itself and its development.

The Airship is slated for release on 31st March 2021, just two weeks from now!

Yes, The Airship is a completely free update for everyone who owns a copy of the game or plays it for free on smartphones.
The Airship: New tasks, new gameplay, new mechanics
InnerSloth didn't want to spoil the surprise for the players, so they haven't revealed all the details about the new map, but it has been confirmed that the new map will have a lot of new features and gameplay mechanics.
- A completely new set of tasks to do.
- Brand new look and rooms.
- Players will be able to pick a room where they start.
- New free cosmetic hats on release for everyone.
But that's not all, with the release of The Airship update, the game will finally get a basic account system, which means that players will now be able to report toxic players and cheaters, as a moderation system will be implemented as well.
In InnerSloth's blog post, the Innersloth team explains that it took them more time to finish this new map because they wanted to do it properly, without neglecting other aspects of the game and their studio, from managing the company to taking care of the daily issues, like server problems, bugs, and cheaters.
