There are multiple creatures in ARK Survival Ascended that you can tame in order to travel from one place to another, transfer items, and more. One of these is Carcharodontosaurus, a versatile mount that can travel fast, carry heavy loads, and fight fiercely.

It can hold smaller creatures in its mouth for transport or capture, and it has a weight reduction for meat. Given its unique abilities, Carcharodontosaurus can be a great addition to your team of creatures and here is how you can tame it.

Carcharodontosaurus is a rare and dangerous creature that can be found . Taming it is not as simple as knocking it out and feeding it kibble. You need to earn its trust by feeding it corpses of other creatures and killing more creatures while riding it. Here is how you can do it:

First, you need to find Carcharodontosaurus in in the mountains on The Island map, especially near the volcano and has enough space for you to move around. Then, you need to kill other wild creatures and drag their corpses to the trapped Carcharodontosaurus. The creature will eat the corpses and gain trust in you and a trust meter will appear above its head, showing how much it likes you.

Once the trust meter is full, you can ride the Carcharodontosaurus without a saddle; however, this does not mean it is tamed yet. You need to kill more creatures while riding it to fill up its taming bar; however, be careful not to let the Carcharodontosaurus take damage, as this will lower its taming effectiveness.

In addition to this, if Carcharodontosaurus throws you off its back, it will reset the trust meter and you need to repeat the process of feeding it corpses and riding it until the taming bar is full. This may take several attempts, so be patient and prepared.

Once the taming bar is full, the Carcharodontosaurus is finally tamed and will follow your commands and you can ride it using a saddle.
