Ark Survival Ascended has experienced a Christmasy overhaul, allowing players to fly reindeer, receive free loot, and celebrate the holidays through the Winter Wonderland update. Following the update, players can be naughty, or nice, receiving different sets of gifts depending on their in-game behavior. 

The developers have decided to adapt their own naughty and nice list by categorizing players through their in-game actions. Today, we'll share how to get on either of the lists to obtain their rewards and free in-game gifts. 

How Does ARK Fireplace Letters Work

Players who obtain an active fireplace will be able to interact with it and see the four following letters:

  • Raptor Claus letter: Saddle
  • Raptor Claus letter: Armor
  • Raptor Claus letter: Weapon
  • Raptor Claus letter: Dino

Note: players will be able to complete this repetitively; once in-game per day.

Essentially, each note will request "Santa" to bring you the specific item you requested. Players will have to then place a bed near a Christmas tree and sleep, after waking, the gift you requested will be bestowed upon you.

How Does The Naughty & Nice Meter Work

Players will have the following indicator in the bottom-right of their screen: Naughty, Nice, or Neutral. This indicator can be changed to differ the outcome of your gift.

Players who attempt to gain the "Nice" status will have to travel around the map and kill enemies that have an aggressive overtone, being general predators. This will give you better gifts than the typical naughty or neutral items.

Players who attempt to gain the "naughty" status will have to travel around the map killing infant passive dinosaurs, rapidly decreasing their status to naughty or super naughty. 

After obtaining their desired status, players will need to return to their base with a Christmas tree, bed, and fireplace where they will select the "lay in bed" option. At the in-game time of 00:00, your items will spawn underneath the Christmas tree.
