While the perception of beauty may vary, one aspect unanimously agreed upon by ARK Survival Ascended players is the visually stunning appearance of the game. Contributing to this allure is the lush foliage spread across the island.

Although the foliage adds aesthetic appeal, you might have reasons to disable it. Fortunately, the game provides you with the option to do just that. In this guide, we'll demonstrate how to remove foliage and grass in ARK Survival Ascended.

ARK Survival Ascended Foliage Removal: How To Remove Grass and Foliage from the Game

At the moment of writing, there are only two ways to remove foliage and grass from the game. This can be achieved by using console commands to manipulate or eliminate the grass and foliage, respectively. If you are unfamiliar with how console commands work, be sure to check out our console command usage guide.

Now that you understand the process let's take a look at the console commands for removing foliage and grass in ARK Survival Ascended:

  • Grass.sizescale 0/1 (0 = Turn Grass off, and 1 = Turn Grass On)

As you can see above, the foliage command comes with a specific radius for destruction and additional inputs for customization. In contrast, the grass command is universal, affecting the entire island and eliminating grass. Keep in mind that it may take a few seconds for either of these commands to take effect, so exercise patience if you don't witness an immediate disappearance.

Using these commands not only removes unwanted visual elements but also contributes to improved game performance, with the grass command being particularly effective in this regard.
