How To Get Unlimited Stamina When Using Flying Tames

The trick to getting unlimited Stamina when using your flying tame in ARK Survival Ascended lies in the use of a shoulder tame, known as the Archaeopteryx. This creature is usually used to do large descents while on foot since when activated, you can grab onto its legs, and it will either hover on the spot or slowly descend as you move in any direction.

We will be using this ability as the core mechanic for our trick, so let's break down the details. Once you have the Archaeopteryx and it's mounted, use the "follow" whistle command (more on why later) on your flying Tame, and from there, you can go ahead and jump on your flyer and traverse the air as you usually would, until your stamina runs out, and it's here where the Archaeopteryx comes in.

Jump off your Tame and deploy the Archaeopteryx, hovering while in the air, and now you'll see that instead of your Tame making a beeline to land somewhere and recover its stamina, it will instead follow you while you're hovering in the air (why we used the "follow" command earlier) and regain stamina incredibly quickly. Once its stamina is refilled (usually after 10 seconds or so), you can simply hop back onto your main tame and be on your way.

This trick allows you to essentially pull an in-air refuel on your stamina for your tame, meaning you never need to land to regain stamina and effectively lets you fly to anywhere on the island without landing, which is ideal for when you run out of stamina above a dangerous area. 

It also means you can fly to new areas at any time and not worry about getting a larger tame with more stamina, since this trick works with any tame, from the smaller ones right up to the massive flyers; it works on them all.
