When Are Ark Survival Evolved Official Servers Shutting Down?

Ark Survival Evolved is a game that has been out for a very long time now. When the game was introduced, a dedicated fanbase was immediately captured by what the game could offer. Players loved trying to survive with various dinosaurs and the fans wanted more. That is why there are many who still play the updates for the game when they are released.

After a while though, Ark Survival Evolved has become a bit dated. That is why the developers are currently working on Ark 2 for the fans. Although Ark 2 has not been delayed until 2025, we do not know much about it at all. But we do have Ark Survival Ascended which is going to be coming out very soon. With that in mind, players are wondering when the original Ark Survival Evolved servers will be shut down.

The servers for Ark Survival Evolved have been available online for a very long time now. Because of that, there is a lot of history on those servers with characters who have been there for a long time now. So players are starting to wonder when the official servers are going to be shut down for Ark Survival Ascended.

From the official announcement for Ark Survival Ascended, they said that they will shut down the official servers the same day as the game launches. That means that Ark Survival Evolved's official servers should be shutting down on September 30, 2023. That is not a lot of time left for these official game servers.

For those who are unaware, Ark Survival Ascended is an upgraded version of Ark Survival Evolved. Improved graphics, a better engine, and a better-functioning game are what is currently being promised by Studio Wildcard. But if it is essentially the same game, can you bring over your items from the original to the remastered version?

The answer is no, there is no cross-play or cross-progression between the two games. And with the official servers shutting down, there is a chance that all your progress will be lost forever. A bummer for those who have a lot of history with Ark Survival Evolved but good news for newcomers who want to try Ark Survival Ascended.
