As a Viking raider in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, sometimes you just want to play the part, forego any stealth or ranged combat, and swing those axes with style. With the Brigandine Set, part of the Bear Gear collection in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you can do just that. In this guide, we will show you how to get the full Brigandine Set, pointing you towards the locations of all five pieces.
Best Assassin's Creed Melee Armour set
The Brigandine Set is arguably one of the best Assassin's Creed armour sets in the game if you want to jump into the action and fight and spend most of your time performing melee combat moves.
Any bonuses for the Bear gear collection which you get from the skill tree will also apply to the Brigandine Set.
There's a total of five pieces, with an increase to the Armour stat when surrounded by more than two enemies with two pieces equipped. You also get an increase to Melee Damage with all five pieces equipped.
Valhalla Brigandine Set: Locations & how to get
There are a total of five items to get in order to complete your Brigandine Set in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Let's get straight into the specifics, including the Brigandine Set armour piece locations and how you can get them all.
Brigandine Helm location
Both the Helm and the Cape for the Brigandine Set is located in the Sciropescire area of Assasin's Creed Valhalla, so we will kick off with a nice helmet for your noggin.
Head to the Wenlocan Outpost entering from the Westside. You should see a cave entrance near a wooden latter. Drag the rock away from the cave wall, squeezing through the gap. Open the chest for the Brigandine Helm.
Brigandine Cape location
While you are still in the Sciropescire area, you might as well head the Brigandine Cape location, which is near Quatford. Via the image below, you will see an entrance. This entrance is blocked by a cart, so shoot the oil jar to blow it apart.
Make your way inside and attack a wooden fence, then pull away rock to enter the subsequent room. Inside the room, you will find a chest holding the Brigandine Cape.
Brigandine Trousers location
The Brigandine Trousers location will likely require you to take out a whole lot of enemies in Dover Fortress, Cent.
After you've cleared the area, or sneakily made your way to a wooden platform with breakable flooring, you can grab an oil jar to break the floor. Drop straight down into the hole, then proceed to break a wooden door. Enter the room and open the chest to claim the Brigandine Trousers as your own.
Brigandine Armour location
Sticking with the Cent area, you now need to head to the Brigandine Armour location at the Canterbury Cathedral.
First, make your way to to the second floor, then use your Odin's Sight to locate the treasure. Follow the glowing treasure with Odin's Sight, head down some stair, and then destroy the breakable debris on the floor to find the chest with the Brigandine Armour set piece in a shallow hole.
Brigandine Gauntlets location
Last but not least, you have to find the Gauntlets to complete the best melee armour set in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. We've left the most difficult one for last, as you will need to find two keys to unlock the chest with the Brigandine Gauntlets located at Beamasfield in Cent.
Use Odin's Sight when needed (it shows a white key icon), then head to the small hut in Beamasfield, climb through the window and grab the first key on the table.
The second key is on the westside of Beamasfield. Look out for a large wooden building with log piles next to it. Take out the guards and pick up the key.
Now, you need to head to the building in Beamasfield marked with an Armour icon on the map. There's a pile of sacks you need to run over and pull yourself up to the second floor, where you will find the chest containing the Brigandine Gauntlets.
