Baldur's Gate 3: How To Jump Into The Hole In The Whispering Depths

There are a few different ways to get into the Underdark, but one is much more fun than the others.
Baldur's Gate 3: How To Jump Into The Hole In The Whispering Depths

As you're exploring Baldur's Gate 3, you'll come across a series of different dungeons that you can explore with treasure to grab along the way. Within the Blighted Village, there's a mysterious well that you can jump down and explore, and it's here that you discover one of the cooler secrets of Baldur's Gate 3 Act 1.

Finding The Underdark In The Well

Once you go down the Well, you'll discover a hive of terrifying Spiders. These spiders aren't terrifying just because they're normal spiders, but because they can teleport around in order to get a height advantage on you. Once you make it through the rooms with the massive Spiders and defeat the Spider Matriarch your character and their companions will comment on a weird draft coming from a hole in the center of the room. As you'll probably acutely assume, if you jump down this hole straight away you'll hit the ground and immediately die, but there is a way down there.

Cast Feather Fall on yourself and your companions before you jump down. The spell cancels out any fall damage that you might take, meaning that you can jump down with ease and basically just float your way down to the bottom. Once you get down there, you'll find yourself in the Underdark, an area that bridges the gap between Baldur's Gate 3 Act 1 and Baldur's Gate 3 Act 2, and you can explore it early.
