Baldur's Gate 3: Who Can Orin The Red Kidnap?

In Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3, you'll have one of your companions vanish. But who can it be?
Baldur's Gate 3: Who Can Orin The Red Kidnap?

Orin the Red is one of the four main villains of Baldur's Gate 3 and is by far the scariest of the four. She's a cold-blooded killer, somebody who takes pleasure in killing in the most elaborate way that she can, and the second you and your party enter the city she has you set in her sights. At some point in the campaign, she'll kidnap one of your party members, but who can she kidnap?

Who can Orin the Red kidnap in Act 3?

Orin's kidnap victim can be chosen from the following options:

  • Gale
  • Halsin
  • Minthara
  • Yenna
  • Lae'zel

There's no time limit to saving your ally, but be aware that you obviously can't use them until you rescue them. Also, if you fail a skill check in conversation with Orin she'll immediately kill your ally, and you can't use them or revive them at all. However, Orin takes over the identity of whoever she has kidnapped in your camp and will do things that indicate they've been taken over, so if you know your companions well enough you can find out who it is by investigating their dialogue and working out why they're acting so strangely.

There's a chance if Orin isn't disguised as Yenna herself that whoever she does impersonate will claim that Yenna is actually Orin in disguise, and tries to kill Yenna. You can let her do this, but if you do she'll reveal that she's lying, but if you stop her then she'll know her act is up.
