Bendy and the Ink Machine developer and creator TheMeatly surprised fans on Christmas Day with a huge gift: an announcement that a Bendy and the Ink Machine movie is coming, from Joey Drew Studios and Radar Pictures! This will bring the little ink demon to the big screens for the first ever time.

The Bendy and the Ink Machine Movie doesn't have a set release date yet, as the movie was just announced on Christmas Day 2023. However, it's likely that the movie will release sometime in 2024, or perhaps 2025.

TheMeatly confirmed that the team has discussed making the movie for years now, and that they were waiting for the right time after the release of The Dark Revival.

Bendy And The Ink Machine Movie Plot

Not much is known about the Bendy and the Ink Machine Movie plot thus far, as we don't even know whether the movie will be a live-action or animated adaptation. (That said, it's worth noting that Radar Pictures is known for its live-action movies, suggesting the BATIM Movie might feature live actors.)

What we do know is that TheMeatly has confirmed that the movie will be canon. This means that it'll likely be a direct adaptation of Bendy and the Ink Machine or the Dark Revival - or perhaps even a new addition to the series, expanding upon the lore set forth in the games.

TheMeatly has also promised that the movie "WILL be scary." It's possible that the movie could contain jump scares, psychological horror, or a mix of both approaches to create a truly eerie and accurate Bendy experience for theaters and/or streaming.

We'll also definitely see protagonist and player character Henry, who plays a major role in most of the games. It's highly likely that other popular characters that are important to the plot, like Boris, Alice Angel, and Sammy Lawrence, will make on-screen appearances as well.

It's unknown, though, whether TheMeatly might add in some new characters for the upcoming film. While new faces in the movie are certainly a possibility, it's unlikely that the Bendy and the Ink Machine Movie will take the same route as the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie and add a totally new character that switches up the plot, since the franchise's creator has already promised that the movie will be true to Bendy's canon.
