There are not a lot of games out there that can call themselves iconic, but the Borderlands series certainly can. The original Borderlands game was released all the way back in 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Since then, the Borderlands series has become legendary, and that is why there are many who are waiting for Borderlands 4 to be announced.

There are many who are playing Borderlands 3 and enjoying all of the content this game has to offer. After all, there is plenty to do in the game and more content that is happening on a regular basis. But there are many who want Borderlands 4 to come out. Here, we will talk about Borderlands 4, which includes the release date speculation and everything we know so far about the game.

When Is Borderlands 4 Coming Out? Speculation

Gearbox Software has been hard at work, it seems, and Borderlands 4 may be coming out a lot sooner than we think. At the moment, there is no official announcement for Borderlands 4 right now. But evidence of it does exist. For example, in 2021, Gearbox Software claimed that they are working on "the big one" right now. Fans think this means Borderlands 4.

In a meeting with the Embracer Group back on February 2022, it was revealed that Gearbox Software is working on 10 AAA titles. The presentation shows that Gearbox Software plans on releasing all of these games by the end of 2026. That means that Borderlands 4 could be coming out by 2026 at the latest.

At the time of this writing, not much is known about Borderlands 4. Borderlands 4 has not been confirmed to be in development right now, although a Gearbox Software developer hinted at it before. Although we have a clue that they might be working on the game, this is just a rumor at the time.

So there has been no update on what the gameplay or story will look like for Borderlands 4. We are hoping to see an improvement in how easy it is to do co-op gameplay in Borderlands 4 to make it a bit more seamless. Once we have more information regarding Borderlands 4, we will update this page to reflect that information.
