How Do I Get MW3 Beta Code?

Call of Duty's next entry, Modern Warfare 3, is set to launch on November 10, 2023. Ahead of this release date, however, are a number of opportunities to get a hands-on look at the upcoming game. Thanks to open betas and an early access period, players will be able to jump into Modern Warfare 3 before its global release.

Betas and early access periods have become a regular occurance in Call of Duty, with the same access being provided ahead of Modern Warfare 2's launch in 2022. For MW3, players are expected to have two beta weekends to join followed by Campaign Early Access ahead of launch. But these two early access betas won't be available to just anyone, so how do you get a code to join in the action?

How To Get MW3 Early Access Beta Code

There are a few ways to gain access to the upcoming early access beta weekends for MW3, and some of them won't require a code. First, anyone who has pre-ordered or pre-purchased a digital edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, regardless of platform, will automatically receive early access to the open beta. Code redemption is not necessary for pre-orders made through the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store, or pre-purchases made via Battle.net or Steam. 

If you've pre-ordered a physical edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, or have purchased it through a retailer, you should have received a code (either on your receipt or emailed to you) which will grant you early access to the open beta. If you didn't receive a beta code or can't locate it, contact your retailer. 

The two beta weekends will take place on the following dates:

Weekend One - PlayStation Exclusive

  • Early Access: Oct. 6 - Oct. 7
  • Open Beta: Oct. 8 - Oct. 10

Weekend Two - Crossplay Beta (Xbox, PC, PlayStation)

  • Early Access: Oct. 12 - Oct. 13
  • Open Beta: Oct. 14 - Oct. 16

What Does The MW3 Beta Code Look Like?

The MW3 early access beta code will be a 13-character code (e.g.: XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX). You will only receive a code if you've purchased through a participating retailer. If you've purchased MW3 through the  PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Battle.net, you will not need a beta code. 

How To Redeem MW3 Early Access Beta Code

To redeem your MW3 early access beta code, go to callofduty.com/betaredeem and follow the instructions to register for the open beta. Once your code has been successfully redeemed, you will be registered for the beta. Registered players will then receive an Early Access Beta token via email before the open beta begins.

You'll need to log in with a Call of Duty account, or create one, and enter your MW3 Early Access Beta code.
