Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty title will be a continuation of last year’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.

Earlier this year Bloomberg reported on the upcoming Call of Duty title, stating that the game was originally planned as a premium expansion to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, but later morphed into its own game. The official Call of Duty Twitter account tweeted out:
“Let’s get this out of the way… should MWII Operators, Weapons and Bundles carry forward into Call of Duty 2023?”
The options given in the poll are both ‘yes’, indicating rather heavily that we can expect to see anything previously purchased in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II carry over into the 2023 Call of Duty title.
