We also are eager to watch aBeZy, Shotzzy, Clayster, and many other great players, taking over Vanguard maps in order to claim victory for their teams.
Now we get the first taste of CDL 2022 action as we are nearing the start of the Kickoff Classic and we will tell you everything you need to know to get the best of this experience.
How to watch the CDL 2022 Kickoff Classic
Just like last year, you will be able to watch all the actions live from the Call of Duty League official YouTube channel which will allow us to watch it no matter where we are.
You should tune in between Friday, January 21st, and Sunday, January 23rd, at 9 pm BST / 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT to watch your favourite teams and players live as they try to cash in the first prize of the $30,000.00 USD prize pool.
CDL 2022 participating teams
After Dallas Empire (Envy) and OpTic Chicago (Optic) merged to form a single team (OpTic Texas) we honestly thought that we would have only eleven teams registered for the 2022 season.
Then out of the blue, OXG Esports and Kraft Sports Group created Boston, which will be officially participating this year at CDL 2022:
- Atlanta FaZe (Current champions)
- Florida Mutineers
- Los Angeles Guerrillas
- Los Angeles Thieves
- Minnesota R0kkr
- New York Subliners
- OpTic Texas
- Seattle Surge
- Toronto Ultra
- Paris Legion
- London Royal Ravens
CDL 2022 Kickoff Classic format
The Kickoff Classic can be easily considered a warm-up tournament for all teams as the season officially starts a couple of weekends later but it is still a great chance to get a hold of the other team strategies.
The bracket has been already defined and all four semi-finalists from the 2021 season will take Friday off as the other eight teams will face off to punch a ticket to the quarter-finals.
After that, we will have a Sunday filled with the top four teams battling for the top prize of $ 30,000.00 USD.
