The second season, set to launch worldwide Tuesday 11th February, sees a wealth of new additions from day one – including classic multiplayer map Rust and new assault rifle weapons.

Here’s everything to expect from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2.

What time does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 release?

The update will roll out on Tuesday 11th February worldwide, although timings haven’t been officially confirmed by Infinity Ward.

Judging by past season release times though, the update should go live across the world at the below times. There might be some delays however if any last-minute issues occur.

  • UK – 6pm GMT

  • US East Coast – 1pm EST

  • US West Coast – 10am PST

  • Europe – 8pm CEST

What’s available from day one of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2?

New operator Ghost

Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley will make his return to Call Of Duty, a British special forces operator who previously featured in Modern Warfare 2, Call Of Duty Online and Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

New maps

Classic multiplayer map Rust will be added from day one, which was a tense close-quarters fan favourite from Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

A brand new map is also being added into the fold with Atlas Superstore, which takes place in a warehouse in Verdansk, Russia.

As seen in Modern Warfare’s campaign, Bazaar is the hometown of freedom fighter Farah and will be added as a new Gunfight map.

There’ll also be new Ground War map Zhokov Boneyard, based on the location from the main campaign.

New weapons and modes

Two new weapons are set to be added from day one; the previously leaked GRAU 5.56 assault rifle and Strike 45 SMG.

Gunfight tournaments are set to be added in the new update too, along with a Call Of Duty League playlist – which reintroduces the classic minimap and adopts the rule parameters from the pro circuit.
