Will Call of Duty Warzone 2 be free to play?
In a nutshell, there is strong evidence to suggest that Call of Duty Warzone 2 will be free to play from the moment of its release late this year. This is supported by information in Activision's official blog that states: "The new, free-to-play battle royale Warzone also features the same technology powering Modern Warfare II."

While Warzone 2 will be free to play, it will likely still feature some elements of paid content, as most Call of Duty games do. Indeed, this would align with its predecessor, which includes paid-for content, such as seasonal battle passes, in-game cosmetics and items, and the like.

Will Call of Duty Warzone 2 be free to play on consoles?
Keeping in line with its predecessor, Warzone 2 will likely be available to play on consoles, even for players without subscriptions to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live. This is exciting as it guarantees that all players, regardless of their preferred gameplay platform, will be able to jump into Call of Duty Warzone 2 for free once it releases.

We think this makes the most sense as it balances the scales for PC players who do not have to purchase the memberships to play and allows the game to offer paid-for features to all players.
So while we wait for the release of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II, the latter of which releases on 28th October this year, we will keep you updated to bring you the latest and most up-to-date news available.
