Different types of weapon Camo are available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, some of which can be bought with real money; others must be unlocked by grinding specific tasks.

How To Unlock Gold Camo Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Before we tell you how to unlock the Gold Camo challenges, it is worth knowing the Gold Camo challenges in Modern Warfare 2 are a bit easier to complete than in the previous Call of Duty titles.

In addition, you need to complete these challenges on each weapon to earn the Golden Camo on the particular gun. In this regard, we suggest you start with a simple weapon like an M4, which is easy to control and is available as one of the first unlocked weapons.

Base Camo Challenges in Modern Warfare 2

Here are all the Base Camo challenges that need to complete to unlock M4 Gold Mastery Camo Challenges:

• First Base Camo: Get X Kills with the M4. 

• Second Base Camo (Challenge unlocked at Weapon Level 7): Get X or more Kills with the M4 without reloading X times.

• Third Base Camo (Challenge unlocked at Weapon Level 13.): Get X Double Kills with the M4.

• Forth Base Camo (Challenge unlocked at its Max Weapon Level, Level 20.): Get X Triple Kills with the M4.

Once you complete these challenges, you will unlock the M4 Gold Camo Challenge (the first “Mastery” Camo Challenge).

Gold Camo Challenges in Modern Warfare 2

This time around in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, all the weapons have the same Gold Camo Challenge, which is:

• Getting about X number of kills with a weapon without dying number X of times.

These challenges can be changed as more weapons are added, along with new in-game content. So if you want to get those shiny golden Camos, you should start right now because it'll likely take a long time to complete.
