Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone weapon inspection feature confirmed for Season 5

Infinity Ward has confirmed the fan-requested weapon inspection feature will be arriving with COD Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 5.
On 5th August at 07:00 BST, Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 5 will kick off on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. While there's a lot to look forward to, with such as new maps, and the trailer showcasing the stadium being blown up, there will also be some new features. One of these is the Warzone and Modern Warfare weapon inspection feature, which developer Infinity Ward has now confirmed.

Modern Warfare developer Joel "ArtPeasant" Emslie from Infinity Ward, took to Reddit to confirm the Modern Warfare and Warzone weapon inspection feature is "incoming".

This happened less than two days before the release of Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5. The weapon inspection feature isn't exactly a staple in the franchise, but it is a highly-requested feature from Call of Duty fans.

Some good news from modernwarfare

The Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 weapon inspection feature has been rumoured for quite some time now, and Joe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, even hinted at the feature recently.

The Modern Warfare and Warzone weapon inspection feature was first found in early July when dataminer DougDagnabbit showed the inspection animation on the MP5 weapon, stating "I’ve just seen footage of the new 'inspect weapon' animation coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone! It's 100% legit".

This fan-requested feature has been in previous titles, such as Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: WWII.

Soon, Modern Warfare and Warzone players will be able to inspect their shiny weapons as the rummage through Verdansk, the new maps, the stadium, and much more.
