Warzone & Vanguard Season 5 - All New Game Modes And Seasonal Events

Last Stand is set as the final content roadmap for this era of Call of Duty, and that means plenty of material for Vanguard & Warzone Season 5. Everyone can expect some new game modes and seasonal events that match the chaos found in the latest season.

Compared to other seasons, Raven Software and Sledgehammer certainly seem to be pushing the boundaries with their historical setting. In Season 5, there are Operators from multiple COD timelines and even an energy rifle to unlock. Of course, all the new modes and events will reflect those themes as the final season starts on August 24.

The new season of Warzone & Vanguard is all about choosing sides. When Season 5 launches, one of the first new modes will be Operation: Last Call. This mode is set up like Search and Destroy with far more chaos and freedom.

Players will be able to choose whether they attempt to detonate bombs around Caldera or defend those bomb sites against saboteurs. The outcome of the match will change depending on whether you cause chaos or try to control it.

Another launch window event is called Lava Rock. Instead of a full-blown mode though, this will act as a public event tied with Operation: Last Stand. There will be a visual Volcano Meter that tracks the activity of the volcanos added around Caldera. You'll have to watch out for landing zones to survive the event.

The second full-blown mode is called Heroes vs. Villans, but this will act as a Community Event. Just like the new Operation, you'll need to personally choose a side. While the event is live, you'll be able to eliminate opponents to collect Villain or Hero tokens. This can happen across all game modes.

When you collect tokens from eliminations or Supply Boxes, you'll get discounts on Faction Bundles at the Buy Station. You can continue doing this to get more discounts at Buy Stations in a given match. The winning side at the end of the event will get a unique weapon blueprint.

Resurgence Supreme is another mode that will appear during the mid-season update for Warzone Season 5. Squads of four can deploy with the best weapons possible and everyone will be able to respawn. Those who win the match with over 15 eliminations will get the most rewards.

Clearly, there's a lot to do aside from battling it out in the Standard Caldera or Rebirth modes. Make sure to collect as many tokens as you can while the events are live as well. You wouldn't want to fumble a new blueprint.
