There are plenty of Field Upgrades that can give you a tactical advantage when playing Call of Duty Modern Warfares beta. Some of these, such as the Battle Rage, are more aggressive, and others such as Dead Silence give you a more tactical advantage when moving through the battlefield.
So in this guide, we're going to show you exactly how to unlock and use the Dead Silence Field Upgrade in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2's beta. Giving you the ultimate stealth advantage over your enemies during battle.
Modern Warfare 2 Beta - Unlock & Use Dead Silence
Players can unlock the Dead Silence Field Upgrade once they reach level 30 in the game, however, there is a way to unlock it easier than this by utilizing a small exploit in the game.
The only thing you need to do to use this minor exploit in the beta is to create a class in a particular way. To obtain the Dead Silence Field Upgrade in the Modern Warfare 2 beta, simply follow the instructions outlined below:
Start by creating a new Loadout.
Choose the "Hunter-Stalker" as your default loadout
This will automatically set Dead Silence as your Field Upgrade and you can then begin customizing your loadout and head into battle with it.
That's all there is to it, just a few easy steps, but similar to our Lachmann/MP5 guide, this is just one of several menus and visual glitches that currently allow you to unlock some of the locked weapons. It's unclear if Infinity Ward intends to fix this, but it probably makes sense to build your class now.

Once you have the Dead Silence Field Upgrade unlocked and in your loadout, you can begin using it in the game during any of the game modes. The Field Upgrade itself allows you to move around silently without alerting enemies to your position.
Dead Silence's duration of time active is also refreshed every time you get a kill using your gun, knife, or with a melee attack. So using this skill to silently walk through the map and get the drop on your enemies will be a huge advantage to you, but any kills you gain will refresh the duration allowing you to continue using it throughout the entire match.
