Warzone Pacific Preseason - Operation Flashback, destruction of Verdansk and more

What you need to know about the Warzone Pacific preseason events, from uncovering secrets to Operation Flashback, and the destruction of Verdansk.
The Verdansk era is coming to an end following the launch of Vanguard. While Vanguard releases on 5th November, we won't see the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 1 release until 2nd December 2021. So what happens in the meantime? Well, that's where the Warzone Pacific preseason content comes into play. Here's what players can expect before Warzone Pacific Season 1 gets underway, including events, the schedule, and some rewards players can acquire.

Warzone Operation Flashback content

As the first Warzone Pacific preseason event, we have Operation Flashback, which releases on 18th November 2021.

The developers kicked things off by flexing that over the past 18 months, 100 million players dove into Verdansk.

Operation Flashback will feature content from past events, and the developers specifically mention 80s Action Heroes as well as Hauntings in the recent blog post.

Raven Software has created a limited-time mode in the form of Operation Flashback, featuring "plenty of surprises that cover Verdank's action-packed history."

Players will be able to earn two unique rewards via Operation Flashback, namely:

  • An Emblem for participating in the event
  • An animated Calling Card for those who claim victory!

The developers will share more information on the Operation Flashback mode and what players can expect prior to its launch on 18th November 2021.

Secrets of the Pacific event

Warzone's new battle royale map, Caldera, is releasing with Warzone Pacific Season 1. Before the release, players will be tasked with uncovering intel on Caldera through the Secrets of the Pacific event, which kicks off on 24th November 2021.

This is a limited-time event which the developers explain as: "Developed by Beenox will grant you vital information on Caldera and its various points of interest prior to its launch in December, but only if you complete challenges across Vanguard and Warzone. Each game will have its own set of tasks and rewards for completing them, such as acquiring and protecting Pacific artifacts while fighting to survive in Verdansk."

Additional details about the Secrets of the Pacific event will be revealed in mid-November, so stay tuned!

Destruction of Warzone's Verdansk

The end of Verdansk is coming! This destructive ending will usher in Warzone Pacific Season 1.

The Destruction of Verdansk event begins on 30th November 2021, so mark your calendars.

At the time of writing, there are no additional details about this event, except for one line: "expect a spectacular and fitting end to your time in Verdansk as we say farewell to the Kastovian city… forever?

The Warzone Pacific preseason appears to be filled with content. While we don't know exactly how the destruction of Verdansk will take place just yet, this new era of Warzone, complete with a new engine and map, does look promising.
