Activision has announced that they’re delaying the rollout of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3, a season which is expected to ramp up the nostalgia factor by bringing back Verdansk to Warzone.
In a post on X (Twitter), Activision said, “Season 03 is a big moment for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6, and we’re taking the time to deliver a great experience starting on April 3. More to come following Call of Duty: Warzone’s 5th anniversary next week…”
Season 3 was initially expected to arrive on March 20, 2025. Now, the season roll out has been pushed back by two weeks and will instead launch on April 3.
Not a huge amount of official information has been offered by Activision on what to expect from Season 3, we’re only two weeks into Season 2 Reloaded at the time of writing. That said, numerous leaks appear to claim that Season 3 will be somewhat reminiscent of Fortnite’s ‘OG’ season, bringing back popular features and maps from the very beginning of Warzone.
Verdansk, Warzone’s first and original map, is expected to make a return for the game’s fifth anniversary. It’s something that Warzone fans have been craving for some time, eager to prove they’ve still got what it takes to run circles around the lobby on Verdansk.
