Cities Skylines 2 promises players more freedom and control when it comes to building and managing their cities. With more dynamic citizen lifepaths, and more immediately available tools, players can immediately being to plan their city — on PC, at least.

Fans are still waiting for news on Cities Skylines 2's console port, after it was delayed past the PC release. But, thankfully, developers Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive have already provided players with a new launch window.

When Does Cities Skylines 2 Release On PlayStation & Xbox?

According to  Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive, Cities Skylines 2 will now launch on console (PlayStation and Xbox) in Spring 2024. At the time of writing, an exact release date has yet to be revealed, however we will be sure to update this article with information once its available. 

The developers said that the reason for the delay was that the team would "need more time to reach the quality targets we have set for Console." The console versions of Cities Skylines 2 were set to launch alongside the PC release, on October 24, 2023. 

In a blog post, Colossal Order said, "The additional time allows us to focus on matching the quality and performance across all platforms. We’ll share more updates on the console release window soon." 

Players can currently Wishlist Cities Skylines 2 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, however pre-orders for the game are not currently available. Those who had previously pre-ordered Cities Skylines 2 on either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will have had them refunded.
