The COD Mobile Season 8 "2nd Anniversary" update has finally arrived and introduced two new weapons into the game: the M13 assault rifle and the R9-0 shotgun! In addition to these weapons, there is also a menu of new content and gameplay changes, including a brand-new "Blackout" map, new Scorestreak and Perk and several weapon balance changes.
The R9-0 shotgun has a high ammunition capacity and can fire two barrels in rapid succession before being pumped. Raven Software says that the R9-0 is "all about getting close to spraying your targets with loose accuracy and high damage." So without further adieu, here's the best R9-0 class setup at the start of COD Mobile Season 8.
Best R9-0 loadout for COD Mobile Season 8
While we have yet to rank the R9-0 in our Shotgun tier list, we expect it to significantly shake up the meta. The R9-0 deals very high damage, with low recoil and high accuracy. It is a monster in close-quarters engagement, capable of one-tap killing enemies with ease.
This loadout was inspired by the Bobby Plays YouTube channel and focuses on accuracy when ADS, which will ensure that you land your one-shot kills.
- Muzzle: Choke
- Barrel: MIP Extended Light Barrel
- Laser: OWC Laser - Tactical
- Smoothbore: MFT Urban Smoothbore
- Rear Grip: Granulated Grip Tape
The MFT Urban Combat will improve ADS time by 10% and bolt time by 5%, at the expense of hit flinch, ADS bullet spread and recoil control. Alternatively, you could equip the MFT Ultra Light Smoothbore to buff ADS movement speed and bolt time at the expense of recoil control and ADS bullet spread.
Next, we've gone with the MIP Extended Light Barrel for buffs to ADS bullet spread and damage range by 6.4% and 20%, respectively. This will bolster the R9-0 damage output in longer-ranged engagements.
The OWC Laser Tactical will further improve ADS time and ADS bullet spread, whilst the Granulated Grip Tape will buff ADS bullet spread even further.
Finally, the Choke Muzzle attachment will provide buffs to damage range by 15%, ADS bullet spread by a further 10% and hipfire bullet spread by 10%.
And that completes our R9-0 class setup at the start of COD Mobile Season 8! The R9-0 loadout is heavily dependent on ADSing so this class setup will certainly get the job done.
