Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 will be over soon, and players can look forward to yet another brand-new update. Like many previous gameplay patches, COD Mobile Season 8 will bring new maps, modes, operators, and weapon balance changes.
In addition, Activision will release a new Battle Pass for players who like to collect camos, weapons, operator skills, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the COD Mobile Season 8 update ahead of its official launch, including its release date, time, test build details, leaks, and more.
COD Mobile Season 8 Release Date and Time
While Activision hasn’t revealed the release date of Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8, the countdown in the Battle Pass section of the game suggests that the new patch update will release on 10th September 2022 at 5 PM PT | 8 PM ET.
There will be no maintenance before the update becomes available, but make sure to complete your missions and Battle Pass if you don’t want to miss your rewards.
The update will also be available for download via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store; otherwise, we'll have a guide to downloading the COD Mobile Season 8 APK file once it's available.
COD Mobile Season 8 Test Build and Leaks
Activision hasn’t released a test build for Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8, but there are a bunch of leaks that have given us information about the content that might arrive in the game. You can find information about each of them below.
One of the biggest highlights of the COD Mobile Season 8 will be the Butterfly Knife, which is expected to be available via the battle pass or seasonal challenges.
ZRG Sniper Rifle
In addition to this, another weapon joining the game might be the ZRG 20mm bolt-action sniper rifle.
C4 Lethal Weapon
There is also a new lethal weapon C4. The leaked in-game description reads: "Explosive that sticks to surfaces and can b detonated remotely." The item has a radius of 70 and deals 80 damage.
Additionally, a new BR class called Igniter might is also suspected of arriving in the COD Mobile Season 8 update that can reduce explosive damage and the impact of negative statuses.
Last but not least, a new Multiplayer map called Express is expected to debut in COD Mobile Season 8 and was first featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
