It's with great excitement that I get to report on the announcement of the next Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major Championship, which follows the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Yes, you read the title correctly: for the first time since 2019, tournament organizer StarLadder will host a Major!

The StarLadder Budapest Major is scheduled to run from 24 November to 14 December 2025. The tournament will follow the new format introduced with the BLAST.tv Austin Major, with four stages of competition and 32 of the best CS2 teams in the world competing.
Teams will compete for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool, first at the MTK Sportpark (Stages 1 to 3) and then at the MVM Dome for the Playoffs, all taking place in the city of Budapest, Hungary.
