CS:GO marks Half-Life: Alyx launch with special cosmetics

With the launch of Half-Life: Alyx, Valve is celebrating the occasion across its other title CS:GO through a number of cosmetics.

In the latest update for CS:GO, the in-game store has been updated with special content themed around Half-Life: Alyx, including a Collectible Pins Capsule, Sticker Capsule and a Patch Pack.

Those who pre-purchased the Valve Index headset before Alyx’s launch will also receive an Alyx Pin and an exclusive Half-Life: Alyx music kit.

Half-Life: Alyx

• Added a complimentary exclusive Music Kit and a complimentary Genuine Alyx Pin for pre-purchasers of Valve Index hardware.
• Half-Life: Alyx Collectible Pins Capsule, Sticker Capsule, and Patch Pack are now available in the CS:GO in-game store to celebrate release of Half-Life: Alyx.

Miscellaneous 

• Improved performance of bots when loading AI behaviour trees.
• Fixed “Go Go Go” voice line for Doctor Romanov.

This isn’t the only crossover happening with Half-Life: Alyx, with the upcoming release of Death Stranding on PC also set to feature head crabs and gravity gloves.

Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel to Half-Life 2, where players return to City 17 as Alyx Vance. The game is only available in VR, and hopes to be a significant advancement of what we’ve come to expect from the platform.
