One could think that with the ESL Pro League Season 13 and BLAST Premier Spring Showdown there is enough top CS:GO action in April. But for fans of CS:GO esports this month is special because there is not one or two but three Tier 1 competitions this month, the third being the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021.

In this viewers guide, we will take you through all the necessary information to follow the tournament.

DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 prize pool

A total of $250,000 will be up for grabs during the upcoming tournament. However, as of now, it is unknown how the prize will be shared between the teams. It's also important to note that ESL Pro Tour points, which are needed to qualify for events such as ESL One Cologne, will be handed out.

Here’s how their distribution for the forthcoming event goes:

1st place - 1000 pts
2nd place - 750 pts
3rd-4th place - 525 pts
5th-6th place - 350 pts
7th-8th place - 200 pts
9th-12th place - 100 pts

Even though twelve teams manage to get their share of ESL Pro Tour points, a total of sixteen squads will battle it out to become DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 champion. They have already been drafted towards two groups and paired up for their initial match-ups.

The likes of Gambit Esports, Virtus.pro, or recent ESL Pro League champions, Heroic, will surely have their eyes on the title. Although, with contenders such as Natus Vincere, Furia Esports and Astralis, the road to winning this tournament won’t be an easy one.

At this moment the exact start times of particular matches remain unknown, but we do know, that the event will start on 29th April. It will be concluded more than a week later, on 9th May, with the final traditionally taking place on Sunday. Since this is an EU-based tournament, those based in Europe shouldn’t have a problem with following it.
