As the first CIS CS:GO RMR event of the season, giving teams from the region a shot at qualifying for the Stockholm Major, the EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 tournament is a huge deal for all the teams involved. With the likes of Na'Vi and Gambit competing, CS:GO esports fans are in for a treat. Here's everything you need to know about the EPIC League CIS Spring 2021, from how to watch all the action, to the schedule, format, and prize pool. Let's kick things off with the latter.

EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 prize pool

The EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 tournament features a prize pool of $40,000 USD, as well as a tonne of RMR points. These RMR points teams can acquire will give themselves a shot at a spot in the Stockholm Major. 

  • 1st place - $15,000 and 1,600 RMR points
  • 2nd place - $10,000 and 1,500 RMR points
  • 3rd place - $5,000 and 1,400 RMR points
  • 4th place - $3,000 and 1,300 RMR points
  • 5th & 6th place - $2,000 and 1,150 RMR points
  • 7th & 8th place - $1,500 and 950 RMR points each

This means only half the teams competing will get a piece of the prize pool and RMR points pies.

There's a total of 16 teams competing at the EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 tournament. Eight teams have been invited, while the other eight made their way through the qualifiers.

As you can see, there are some huge names featured in the EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 tournament, including Na'Vi and Gambit.

These two teams are the favourites to win the event, and they recently faced each other in the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 finals, where Na'Vi came out on top after a convincing clean sweep.

EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 format

The EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 tournament will kick off with a group stage following a Swiss System Format, with the top eight teams advancing to the playoffs. All matches in the group stage are best-of-three.

In the playoffs, we will see a standard double-elimination bracket format, with all matches being best-of-three.

 

EPIC League CIS Spring 2021 schedule

The group stage of the tournament runs from 12th to 23rd May 2021. The playoffs will begin the following day, on 24th May 2021, and will run until the final day featuring the grand finals on 30th May 2021.

Matches begin at 11:00 GMT (13:00 CET) each day.
