In the early hours of the morning on 17th August 2022 (BST), Valve unleashed a new CS:GO update for the game's 10-year birthday celebrations. This update comes with a new in-game coin featuring a cupcake and a chicken, which fans of the ever-popular esports title should love.

If you want the cupcake chicken coin, aka the CS:GO 10-year birthday coin, as soon as possible, we've got you covered with a quick, step-by-step guide.

The CS:GO 10-year birthday coin is only available for a limited time. If you miss out on the chance to get it, you will never be able to do so in the future.

You will need to have Prime status on your account. Further, CS:GO players only have until Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 to get it. 

Follow the quick steps below to get the CS:GO chicken cupcake coin and celebrate the game turning 10 years old below.

  • Update CS:GO and launch the game.
  • Play some matches until you level up to get your first in-game drop of the week.
  • The coin will appear in your inventory following a match that levels you up.

These CS:GO birthday coins will begin dropping to eligible accounts after 18:00 PST on 17th August 2022.

Players can add the chicken cupcake 10-year coin to their CS:GO profile and show it off. This is not a tradable item.

As you can see from the image above, the chicken cupcake coin looks brilliant. In our opinion, it embodies CS:GO in all the right ways. The flame on top of the coin is animated, and the whole thing is quite shiny, just the way we like it.

So there you have it, a quick and easy way to get CS:GO's 10-year birthday coin that just looks awesome with the whole cupcake and chicken design. It's very easy, but please remember to level up before 23rd August 2022 or miss out on the chance to get it.
