For CS:GO esports fans, there's nothing quite like a Major. The latest one coming up this year is the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which will feature the best teams in the world who qualified via regional RMR events, competing for a huge prize pool.

BLAST Paris Major 2023 Dates, Times & Location

All CS:GO Majors are LAN events. The BLAST Paris Major 2023 begins on 8th May 2023. The tournament will run until 21st May 2023, when a champion will be crowned. In terms of the various stages and their respective dates, check out the list below.

  • Challengers Stage: 8th to 11th May 2023
  • Legends Stage - 13th to 16th May 2023
  • Champions Stage - 18th to 21st May 2023

The location of the next Major is the Accor Arena in Paris, France. A total of 24 teams (who qualify via the RMR events) will compete for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool. We will update this article once information about the exact start times for the BLAST Paris Major 2023 matches become available.

Valve has a specific CS:GO Major tournament format for tournament organizers to follow. The last time this changed was in 2018 with the Boston Major, with an increased size of the tournaments from 16 to 24 teams and further renamed each stage of the tournament. We don't expect the current CS:GO Major format to change any time soon.

Below, you can check out the CS:GO Major tournament format, with various stages of the competition, starting with the Challengers Stage.

Challenger Stage:

  • 16 Team Swiss System Format.
  • Elimination and Advancement matches are Bo3.
  • All other matches are Bo1.
  • The top 8 Teams proceed to The Legends Stage.
  • The bottom 8 Teams are eliminated.

Legends Stage:

  • 16 Team Swiss System Format.
  • Elimination and Advancement matches are Bo3.
  • All other matches are Bo1.
  • The top 8 Teams proceed to Champions Stage.
  • The bottom 8 Teams are eliminated.

Champions Stage:

The top eight teams from the Legends stage will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Seeding will be done using the final rankings from the Legends Stage. In this stage, all matches are best-of-three.

The top 24 CS:GO esports teams in the world will compete at the BLAST Paris Major 2023. These teams are selected based on RMR standings and regional qualifiers.

At the time of writing, no teams have been confirmed. We will update this section as soon as teams start to qualify for the next CS:GO esports Major.
