Cyberpunk 2077 Weapons Guide: All Guns, Manufacturers, Types, Stats, & More

Guns and the Second Amendment in the fictional world of Cyberpunk 2077 are as important as ever.

From law enforcement officers, corporate private security, mercenaries, and gang bangers, to vendors, taxi drivers, and other civilians, everyone needs to protect themselves and their business, legal or illegal.

And in Night City, you can arm yourself with almost any weapon you desire, completely legally.

The only question is what are your needs and what can you afford.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a wide selection of firearms such as pistols, shotguns, rifles, machine guns, miniguns, and much more.

And if you prefer hand-to-hand combat, there's a wide selection of melee weapons as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 Weapon Rarity

Like in other RPG games, weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 will have different rarities.

Those of higher rarity will be harder to obtain, will usually be better, and some of the rarest will have some unique characteristics, both in terms of appearance and functionalities.

Weapon Rarity:

  • Common
  • Uncommon

Cyberpunk 2077 Weapon Types

Cyberpunk_2077_Weapon_Types
(Picture: CD Projekt RED)

In Cyberpunk 2077, there are 3 types of weapons: Power, Tech, and Smart Weapons.

This includes revolvers, pistols, shotguns, automatic pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, machine guns, etc.

Power Weapons are firearms in a traditional sense, classic guns similar to what we have today, they use conventional ammo, calibres, and cartridges.

Tech Weapons use railgun technology and caseless ammunition (steel flechette), propelled with an electromagnetic charge.

While they generally have a slower rate of fire, they offer immense damage and greater range. They are very efficient against targets wearing personal armour, and can even penetrate armoured vehicles with enough focus fire.

Smart Weapons are the most advanced weapons available in terms of technology.

They use gyrojet technology that fires caseless guided ammunition. Once they lock on a target, they track your enemies even you are not aiming at them.

Weapon Manufacturers and Tiers

There are 12 corporations in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe which are in the business of manufacturing weapons

Based on the quality of their products and their reputation, they are separated into three Tiers: Lower, Middle, or Upper Tier.

Top Tier manufacturers are of the highest quality and functionality, and therefore their products are harder to find, and expensive as well.

Weapons from the Low Tier manufacturers are easy to find and cheap, but often unreliable and don't offer much in terms of functionality and innovations.

For now, we know two of their models that will be in the game, Genesis 19:24 and D5 Copperhead, but without any details about them.

Finally, there's Darra-Polytechnic, a firearms manufacturer from India, for people that "value style over quality".

Their philosophy is to make good-looking, but not necessarily high-quality guns.

In Cyberpunk 2020 they have Darra-Polytechnic M-9 Assault Rifle, but it is little known about what will they offer in Cyberpunk 2077.
