Dave the Diver is one of those breakout games that people will be talking about for a long time, with players having flocked to this title very quickly. In the first 10 days, the game sold 1 million copies which is an impressive feat considering the field of games released in 2023.

Many players enjoy the loop of diving into the water and finding fish to serve at the sushi restaurant that you manage at night. There are many different kinds of fish that you can serve as sushi in Dave the Diver. One of which is the Giant Trevally. Here, we are going to go over how to find and catch the Giant Trevally in Dave the Diver.

Finding the Giant Trevally is actually not too difficult in Dave the Diver. Although Giant Trevally does make for good sushi, you will mostly want to hunt these fish to get Giant Trevally Fins. These fins are used to upgrade your equipment to make your guns stronger and your diving equipment better.

Now that you know why you should be hunting for this fish, it's time to learn where to find it. If you are looking for Giant Trevally, you are going to want to be diving between 50 to 130m of depth. We recommend that you stay around the 100m area as Giant Trevally tends to spawn in this area the most.

The Giant Trevally is not that uncommon of a fish and you can actually find it when you are first starting in the game. The trick is catching it. The fact of the matter is that the Giant Trevally is a fish with a lot of HP and most of the time, you are going to have to kill it to catch it. Once you kill the Giant Trevally, you can harvest it twice and hope that you get your Giant Trevally Fin.

If you want to catch it alive though, you will have to wait until you unlock a salvage drone. Without a salvage drone, the Giant Trevally is too big for you to catch alive. Despite that being the case, you can still get the Giant Trevally Fin by killing it.
