Dave the Diver is a game that not a lot of people were expecting to be a breakout hit. But the game spoke for itself, having sold 1 million copies within the first 10 days of it being released. Many found a lot of satisfaction in the gameplay loop of catching fish and serving them in the sushi restaurant.

Players will dive into The Blue Hole to fish to serve at Bancho's Sushi. One of the most popular foods that players can serve at Bancho's Sushi are dishes that feature shark meat. Although killing sharks is not too difficult, it is hard to capture them alive. How can you tranquilize sharks in Dave the Diver to get a 3-star live catch? We discuss that here.

There are many different kinds of sharks in Dave the Diver, and they are all aggressive. You will be given early access to guns to take them out so you can defend yourself and collect the meat that way. But if you want a 3-star catch, you need to capture the shark alive. So you will need to tranquilize them. The best way to do that is by upgrading your guns.

The most obvious gun upgrade you can make is upgrading your Hush Dart to the maximum into a Modified Hush Dart. This will put sharks to sleep easily but it will take a while to get there. Another upgrade you can get is upgrading your Basic Underwater Rifle into a Tranquilizer Rifle. Or if you are lucky, find a level 3 tranquilizer harpoon tip while diving. All of these weapons are capable of putting sharks to sleep.

Now that you have put the shark to sleep, what do you need to do next? Well if you are not properly equipped, the shark will be too heavy for you to collect. You actually need a special tool for you to take your sleeping shark alive. You will need to get yourself a salvage drone to collect the sleeping shark.

Getting the salvage drone will actually take no effort on your part. The salvage drone is a piece of equipment that you will get naturally through the progression of the story. You will get it when it is time to participate in the Tuna Party special event. Once you have the salvage drone, it is just a matter of upgrading your guns to put sharks to sleep.
