In Dave the Diver, Dave is a friendly diver who has been roped into running a sushi restaurant with his friends Cobra and Bancho. During the day, it's up to Dave to dive into the ocean in the search of fresh fish and other treasures. With his trusty Harpoon Gun, among other exciting tools, Dave can capture all sorts of interesting, and sometimes dangerous, creatures. At night, the restaurant is open for business and Dave must do his part to ensure the menu is filled and customer needs are met.
The secret to improving the restaurant and earning more gold is in the quality and variety of fish and ingredients Dave brings back from the ocean. But some fish will prove to be more of a challenge than others, taking multiple hits with the Harpoon Gun and wasting precious time and oxygen. So, to make capturing fish more ef-fish-ient (get it?) players can upgrade Dave's Harpoon Gun to deal more damage.
How To Upgrade The Old Harpoon Gun In Dave The Diver
Upgrading Dave's Old Harpoon Gun is pretty straightforward, though it might not be immediately obvious anless you're paying attention. As you progress through the game's story, you'll eventually get a visit from an NPC called Dr Bacon on Day 3.
Dr Bacon will ask Dave to help him with some research into the mysterious ancient civilization he believes used to exist in the ocean. In return, he'll offer to upgrade Dave's diving suit for free. In addition to that, he'll install the iDiver app onto Dave's phone. Here, you'll be able to upgrade Dave's equipment, including his OId Harpoon Gun.
The first upgrade will be available for the price of 300 gold, and will upgrade the Old Harpoon Gun into the Steel Harpoon Gun, which takes the damage output from 3 up to 10. Subsequent upgrades can also be purchased, improving the gun to the Pump Harpoon Gun and even the Shark Harpoon Gun.
Players can also make important upgrades to Dave's carrying weight capacity, to capture and store more uncommon fish and items, and his Oxygen Tank to help prolong his excursions.
