DayZ Christmas Event 2022: Start Time, Rewards, Weapons, More

The holiday season is on the horizon, and most live-service games are gearing up to drop their Christmas-themed events soon. Fans of the open-world survival game DayZ are expecting no less.

As of this writing, Bohemia Interactive hasn't confirmed more concrete details about this year's Christmas event. That said, here's everything we do know about the DayZ Christmas Event 2022.

November 22 - We've checked for the latest info on DayZ's upcoming Christmas event for 2022.

DayZ Christmas Event 2022 start time

DayZ Christmas Event 2022 doesn't have a start time as of this writing, though if previous years' events are any indication, you could expect it to kick off on 17th December and run until 10th January. 

DayZ Christmas Event - Santa Zombies And Christmas Trees!

Although not confirmed, you could expect Santa Zombies to return to DayZ when the Christmas event drops.

The Halloween event for the game added Mummies Zombies, and it's very likely that the upcoming Christmas event will bring back everyone's favorite Santa-themed ones. 

DayZ Christmas Event - New Weapons & Rewards

Although not confirmed, fans could expect old weapons to make a comeback. This wouldn't seem too far-fetched, considering Bohemia Interactive brought the Improvised Short Bow back in 2021's Christmas event.

As for the rewards, you could expect to find presents in Christmas crash sites scattered around the map. Past rewards included Christmas beards, hats, and more.

Will The DayZ Christmas Event Release With Update 1.20?

Ever since Bohemia Interactive dropped update 1.19 in October, fans have been wondering what the next update would bring. Sadly, there's no info on when 1.20 would drop though if it's still scheduled for 2022, it could come with the Christmas event. 

According to DayZ Youtuber Marks, three classic weapons - Mauser c96, MP-133, and RAK-MP could return. However, this is still speculation, and fans should take it with a grain of salt. 

In other news, DayZ is currently 40% on Steam as part of its ongoing Autumn Sale, which runs until November 29.
