Dead By Daylight Alien Chapter Coming Soon

Dead by Daylight's next chapter will feature the Alien franchise, according to a Tweet from the Dead by Daylight team featuring a 45-second teaser trailer. The video showcases the new DBD killer from Chapter 29, the Alien also known as Xenomorph XX121. Fans have long been asking for a Dead by Daylight Alien chapter, and it seems the collaboration is now coming to fruition.

While the video shows that Alien will be in Dead by Daylight, it doesn't show the new survivor; it's up in the air as to whether a new survivor will join the Fog in this chapter. It's possible that this could be a half-chapter, featuring only the killer, especially since we just received Nicolas Cage as a survivor on his own. However, the roadmap does list both a survivor and a killer for Chapter 29.

The upcoming Alien chapter is not Dead by Daylight's first foray into sci-fi terror, with the past few chapters delving deeper into how technology and horror merge. Dead by Daylight's original killers, The Singularity and The Skull Merchant, both follow similar themes to Alien.

Dead By Daylight Alien Chapter Release Date

Dead by Daylight hasn't released an official release date for Chapter 29. However, we can see from the Year 8 Roadmap that Chapter 29 is coming in August 2023, so it's likely that players will be able to access the DBD Alien PTB in early August, with the live chapter hitting consoles and PC three weeks later.

The trailer states that more info is coming on 8 August 2023, and we speculate that this will also mark the release of the chapter's PTB, allowing players to test out the brand new killer, survivor, and potentially map if there is one.
