How To Counter The Legion In Dead By Daylight

The Legion in Dead by Daylight is, as their name implies - a legion of killers; the group is made up of Frank, Julie, Susie, and Joey, four angsty teenagers with the ability to run at nearly inhuman speeds while in their Feral Frenzy power. Legion players tend to focus on injuring all of the players within a survivor group before individually taking down each survivor. Depending on the perks the killer is running, it can be challenging to keep up with the pressure brought on by a skilled Legion player.

Keep Your Distance From Allied Survivors

The Legion gains speed with each subsequent hit during Frenzy, and, after hitting one survivor, can see all of the locations of nearby survivors with a Killer Instinct. To make matters worse for the survivor team, The Legion can also down any survivor instantly with a fifth hit in Frenzy. To avoid The Legion stacking multiple Feral Frenzy hits and reaping the benefits that come with this, you'll want to stay away from your allies. On large maps, this means working on different generators and staying on a different side of the map; on smaller maps, you can try to work on different floors than your allies to ensure that it takes longer for the killer to reach you. 

Don't Waste Time Healing Against The Legion

The Legion can earn injuries with little effort during Feral Frenzy, but it's harder for them to actually down survivors. To do so, they'll either need to get five hits in a row during Feral Frenzy or manage to down a survivor while not using their ability. You don't want to waste time healing against The Legion, because you'll almost inevitably just end up getting injured again. Instead, you should focus on working on objectives, mending (not healing!) when necessary, and looping The Legion if they decide to chase you outside of Frenzy.
